Questions

Mowing height is extremely important. Although mowing your lawn shorter might seem like a good idea to extend the time between mowings, it creates an ideal environment for weeds, including grassy weeds, to take over. Additionally, cutting your lawn too short can cause heat stress during the hot summer months and increase the risk of lawn diseases. We recommend mowing your lawn to a height of no less than 3.5 inches with sharpened blades, ensuring that no more than one-third of the grass blade is removed in a single pass.

Grass clippings can benefit your lawn when used properly, but too many can cause harm. Clippings are a rich source of nutrients that help nourish your lawn. However, leaving large clumps of clippings on the grass can create discolored patches and potentially kill the grass in those areas. To avoid this, it's important to mow no more than one-third of the grass blade at a time to prevent excessive clippings. If clumping occurs, be sure to blow the clippings around to distribute them evenly, or bag the grass if there's an unusually large amount.

Soil naturally depletes essential nutrients over time. Fertilizer helps replenish these nutrients by offering a slow release of organic matter and a precise blend of elements that promote leaf growth, cell wall development, and root expansion. High-quality fertilizer also improves nutrient absorption, creates a protective barrier against damaging surface and subsurface insects, and shields the root system during harsh winter conditions. Lawn fertilization requires the right balance of chemicals at different times of the year. Hiring a professional service to handle this ensures a hassle-free experience for homeowners.

You don't need to be home for our fertilization program. Our skilled technicians will take care of your lawn and leave an invoice for you. After each visit, be sure to check the back of your invoice for any notes from the technician, including watering instructions or other care tips. We kindly ask that gates are unlocked and pets are kept indoors. If you need to be contacted the day before your appointment, please inform our office.

When selling your home, landscaping is often one of the first things potential buyers notice. A well-maintained lawn and healthy plants can enhance curb appeal and create a welcoming atmosphere. A beautifully landscaped property can even increase your home's value by up to 10%, so it's important to invest in your landscape project.
